Empty Road

Standing in the rain,
Staring at the tail lights.
Watching her leave me,
Leaving her go.
Don’t know what I’ll do,
All I know is that she is gone.

She pulled my face to hers in the rain,
Looked me straight in the eye.
Small smile slid across her face,
She spoke these gentle words to me.

She said, Oh baby,
I know you think that I am crazy.
But there’s some things you don’t know,
I’m sorry it all had to end this way.
But you have realize now,
That I’m gone.

Stood in the rain,
Staring at an empty road.
Tear slid across my face,
I wonder what made her leave.
But I guess she was right,
Some things I don’t know.

She said , Oh baby,
I know you think that I am crazy.
But there’s some things you don’t know,
I’m sorry it all had to end this way.
I’ll see you some time,
Some time when the rain has gone.

Oh oh oh oh baby,
I know you think that I am crazy.
There’s some things that I wish you knew,
I really am sorry to walk out like this,
Remember me,
Remember the times we had.

She said, Oh baby,
I know you think that I am crazy.
But there’s some things you don’t know,
I’m sorry it all had to end this way.
But you have to realize now,
That I’m gone.
