Hiding From Tomorrow

Faces around the fire,
People that I know.
Friends from different times,
Happiness I let show.
It’s just us here tonight,
It may be the last time.
I know I’m going to miss them all,
It seems like such a crime.

Everyone stares up,
Looking into the sky.
It’s been a hell of a day,
But no one asks why.

There’s Chuck in his chair,
Cara’s sitting by his feet.
Dustin is with Angela,
When did they meet?
So many faces,
All here in the night.
I wonder where we’ll go,
I hope it’s never light.
