Fright Through the Night

The darkness floods me through and through,
It takes the sky, washes away the blue,
Leaving me, without a crew,
The darkness floods me through and through.
My mind try’s hard to ward off the fright,
In the dark, where there’s no light,
All I have to do is fight,
My mind try’s hard to ward off the fright.
I cannot see through the think black ink,
Everything can be lost in a blink,
I skate around the never ending rink,
I cannot see through the thick black ink.
Every time I fight my way up I fall,
I fall, sliding past the flat surfaced wall,
Nothing can help me, I have to crawl,
Every time I fight my way up I fall.
I feel like I have hit the hard end,
Only to find another bend,
To the night, my eyes I lend,
I feel like I have the the hard end.
Through the blackness I sail,
All I can do is flail,
Through the sleet, the snow, the hail,
Through the blackness I sail to the day’s open arms.
