For Love, This Really
Hurts
I could never tell you what I really felt,
I don’t know why I couldn’t.
I love you still though and that I know,
But by the way you talk I shouldn’t.
I don’t care what separates us,
All it is is space.
And it doesn’t matter how much there is,
Doesn’t matter if it’s a race.
But I guess you don’t really care for me,
Even though I’m in love with you.
You said you loved me a while back,
And I really loved you too.
But you broke my heart and shattered my mind,
It hurt me so to listen to you say it.
Now I lay awake all night,
And think of you.
And now I lay awake all night,
And cry.
