Apart at the Hinges

I can do without you,
You’re something I don’t need.
Get the hell away from me,
Before I do something I don’t want to.
Don’t know what I’m doing,
But I know you’re nothing.
Running in the dark from the light,
Tripping on the stones in water.
You had my heart,
And I let you run.
You tore my heart to nothing,
Try it again and you won’t be so lucky.
Why do I even care,
What’s the damn point.
Not gonna do this again,
Gonna run things my way.
Get away from me,
Don’t even come near.
I’ve had too much of you,
I don’t need anymore.
I thought you cared,
Because I sure did.
You tore me apart,
Keep the pieces.
